white avenue

i really wasnt planning on going out last night, but i still did (what's new?). as per usual, i headed out to trinoma. it's been the mecca of PLUs since it opened. anywho, a couple of friends of mine were there already and i didnt exactly tell them that i was going. it was supposed to be a surprise because i told them i had no plans of going out. unfortunately, they werent surprised coz zar, a close friend of mine who knows me like the back of his hand, got the feeling that i was going even if i kept on denying it.

i didnt have much cash with me and i told them i only went there just to meet up with them and wouldnt stay long. aside from zar and odie, there were friends of mine who i havent seen in a long time and people ive only spoken to in the chatroom and never actually met. come 11 o'clock, they told me they were going to hang out somewhere. that got me concerned, but i finally relented since it's not every day i get to hang out with all of them.

our destination turned out to be white avenue along tomas morato. im not actually a fan of straight bars, but hey, as long as the music is great it's fine by me. i was pleasantly surprised. the place was nice. the music was okay. and we got in for free!!! i think i heard my wallet let out a huge sigh of relief. and that's in spite of the loud music.

we were ushered into a vip room, which was originally reserved for jean garcia. she didnt show up apparently so we got the room. the couches were of white leather. the walls were white. there was a huge LG screen on the wall that wasnt of much use since it just showed us the names of the dj's for the night and nothing else. there were plates of food on the table, a bottle of jack daniels, several cans of coke, a bucket of ice, and glasses. jack and coke anyone? i only got to sample the cheese sticks (yummy) and the calamares and the french fries. we also had two types of pasta but i didnt try any of em coz i didnt want to eat much.

and of course, what's a night out in a bar without dancing? the dj played some of my all time fav songs but mostly there were the usual straight hiphop beats that i dont dig. hehehe. it's funny how all of them were dancing and waving they're hands and jumping like mad outside while we were all just talking and drinking and laughing inside the room.

then we met margo, an apparent white avenue regular. she's pretty and funny. she kinda reminded me of regine velasquez, only sexier and prettier. and she was uber kewl. we exchanged numbers and she told us that she was just a text message away if we decided to go back and hang out more. i wouldnt hesitate to go back there. all in all, it was a fun night. it wasnt my typical saturday night but it was a blast. and now, it's already 6 in the morning, and im sooo hitting the sack.

happy tree friends

whenever i go online, i always have on at least four windows - work, youtube, irc, and ym. working at home for four years now, irc and ym have been lifesavers for me. they're the only means i have to communicate with people outside of the home.

back then ym only had simple emoticons. then came the audibles, and now you have this thing my friend showed me (i forgot what it's called, and im not really that good with anything about computers anyway) where this girl just pops out of your message window and screams like mad. it's intention of course is to get your attention, but seriously, you can get my attention without actually irritating the hell out of me. the audibles are enough.

some of the audibles are cool actually. ym even has madonna audibles. im not a big fan of hers but i love her songs. anyway, there are tons of audibles you could choose and use, my absolute favorite being the lemons, which at first i thought were onions. they're so cute and funny. the ones i find really really cheesy but cute are the happy tree friends. i dont know their names but there are at least five of them i think.

last saturday a friend showed us happy tree friends videos he had on his ipod touch. i didnt know there actually were videos of them. the videos were quite disturbing even if they're animated, and he actually chose to show us the videos while we were having dinner! fun!!! he only had a couple so when i got back home i searched for them on youtube, and voila!!! happy tree friends having their eyes pulled out of their sockets, having they're innards pulled out of their cute little furry bodies, etc. if it werent for these videos i wouldnt have fallen in love with them. hahaha!!!

an intro of sorts

i was out with friends last saturday night having the usual chit-chat over our fave starbz goodies when the subject of blogging came up. we talked about blogs we've read that we thought were a little grammatically challenged and thought, hey wouldn't it be nice (yes... nice) to create something in honor of these blogs we oh so love to read... and make fun of?

i'm not saying everyone, but some people (me included) thrive on making fun of the littlest mistakes these blogs have, as if i'm little mr. perfect myself, but hey, it's fun, it's relaxing, it relieves my stress, and if that means having to say, hey your blog sucks big time, then so be it. at least i'm having fun. and besides, this is MY blog. go make fun of it on YOURS.

but then again... im not really THAT bad. i know i am sometimes, but I realize that blogging is never an easy task. sometimes you feel like you know what you want to say but don't know how to say it or how or where to start, and when you do it pours and sometimes it really doesn't matter anymore how you say it or how it actually appears on the blog, at least you had your say. funny thing is, after that initial feeling of relief, that "oh thank goodness i'm done", you re-read what you just typed and find out how horrible it turned out.

it happens. trust me. i'm not going to cite blogs or anything. this blog was actually initially intended to do that but i believe in karma and i won't go into making fun of other blogs because like myself, these bloggers just want to have their thoughts written down and shared. but i can't promise that. i guess i just won't put it into writing. hehehe...

this isn't exactly the first time i've ever written a blog. i actually had one a couple of years ago, and like many other endeavors i've so excitedly started, it gradually became something that i've grown kind of tired of doing like posting bulletins on friendster or group-messaging people stuff you really don't have to tell them. come on... you don't have to let me know "papasok nako office" every single day like i don't already know.

anyway, thinking of a blog title isn't always easy, but i managed to come up with something that's sort of appropriate. i got the idea from something a stand-up comedian would say to someone who's got flared nostrils, like "nakikita ko na utak mo". and well i thought it's funny and fitting in that this blog contains my thoughts on a lot of things and reading it is like looking through my nostrils. it's really not that difficult...
